Hi, I have experience of 2 years in Database technologies. Not from CS Background but interested in learning in either SAP or Informatica. I have to learn everything from scratch. Data Integration is the backbone of any analytics solution and Informatica is the best suited tool for it. With its wide range of connectivity and superior processing engines, its bound to be an essential tool for any data integration project. Look at any job site and search for Informatica jobs, you can get the answer yourself. My suggestion would be to lean towards analytics, which you need to start with Integration and then gradually towards the reporting and analytics part of it. Informatica would be best option , given its flat learning curve and wide adaptability. Hope this helps. read less
